Get Informed

Estimates

For the benefit of our clients we offer estimates during evenings and weekends until 8pm. We work with you to best schedule the initial meeting to discuss your project. After our meeting, our goal is to get you an accurate, inclusive estimate in a timely manner. Generally you will receive the estimate within 7-10 days. Depending on the size and complexity of the project it may sometimes take longer to complete the estimate. We encourage you to reach out to us if you have questions regarding the status of your estimate. All estimates will be sent to you via email.

Allowances

Our estimates contain “allowances” in many of the material categories. There is a wide price range for the different products that a client can choose for a project. We provide example pictures to help show the different options, and the provided allowances in these categories allow You to custom-select each item within that amount. If you spend less than an allowance in the agreed-upon estimate, the unused amount will not be charged in the final invoice. For instance, if you have an allowance of $100.00 for tile but your choices actually only cost $75.00 on tile materials, then $25.00 will be subtracted from the final amount you pay. The opposite is also true, if your material choices result in spending more than the allowance, the additional amount will be discussed with you as a change order and added to the final invoice.

Billing and Invoices

Billing will be done in stages as laid out in the contract for services. Generally three payments are made for a project. An example would be: 50% paid before work is started to purchase the initial required materials, 35% paid after majority of the work is completed, and 15% plus all change orders paid after completion of the job. For larger jobs, the pay schedule may be broken out more as more milestones will be passed. Payments are to be made immediately upon receipt of the invoice. Invoices are sent via email. Cash and check are accepted forms of payment.

Shipping Charges

Standard Shipping

Smaller items are shipped via standard ground service. In-stock items will generally arrive in 3-7 business days. Please note: Items ordered at the same time may not be delivered together. Allow 10 additional days if your order includes personalized items.

Expedited Shipping

We offer Two Business Day or Next Business Day Expedited Shipping on some items. Expedited orders received by 2 pm ET Monday–Friday are shipped the same day. Expedited order cut-offs may vary during weeks surrounding a federally recognized holiday. Rates start at $25 for Two Business Day and $29 for Next Business Day and increase based on the size of your order. The amount will be calculated in your bag, or call us for a quote.


Oversize Handling Fees

Some bulky or heavy items have an additional oversize handling fee. Oversize handling fees are shown when you select your item to purchase. This handling fee is in addition to the Standard Shipping or Truck Delivery charge.


Personal Delivery - Local orders only

For local orders in New Jersey and surrounding states, items can be delivered via a company vehicle and will generally be available for delivery 2-4 weeks after ordering, with exceptions to be worked out for individual orders as needed. We provide two options for Personal Delivery Service: Threshold and In-Home.


Threshold Delivery

Items are unloaded by the driver and placed inside the first-floor doorway, garage or covered area. If the home is a multi-dwelling building, the items will be delivered inside the residence. No assembly is included. Packaging removal is available by upgrading to In-Home delivery.

In-Home Delivery

On many larger items like furniture, you have the option to upgrade the delivery experience to In-Home Delivery. Some items only ship via In-Home Delivery. With our In-Home Delivery service, the item will be brought inside your home, unpacked, and placed in its final destination, and the packaging materials will be removed. Assembly can be provided for an additional charge.

Personal Delivery Schedule

After your items are ready to be shipped, you will be contacted by our team to schedule a day for your delivery. When scheduling, share any restrictions or special circumstances that could impact your delivery. This includes, but is not limited to, narrow roads, restricted delivery times, gated entrances, proof of insurance requirements, multiple flights of stairs and service elevator restrictions. It’s important to ensure that all items will fit through access points such as doorways, stairways, hallways, elevators, and around corners into the desired location.


What to Expect for Delivery

The day before your delivery, you will receive a call with your four-hour delivery window. On the day of delivery, our delivery partner will call you approximately 30 minutes prior to arriving at your home. Please prepare for your delivery by ensuring clear pathways and removing any fragile items that could be damaged during the delivery. 


Accepting your Delivery

If you observe an imperfection, note it on your delivery paperwork, and either refuse the item or contact us at 732-705-1001 for a resolution.


FLAT-RATE SHIPPING: – Some smaller, lighter items with higher prices are charged a lower flat-rate fee separately from other items in your order. These items are indicated at checkout.


HAWAII, ALASKA AND US TERRITORIES: – Many items can be shipped or delivered to Hawaii, Alaska and US Territories. Additional charges may apply, and a longer transit time may be required. These charges will be shown in your shopping bag, or call us for details.


SALES TAX: - Frontgate collects sales tax where required under federal and state law. The sales tax amount displayed online is an estimate. The actual sales tax will be calculated when your order is completed and displayed on your order summary. Shipping and handling charges may be subject to sales tax.
